To celebrate World Bicycle Day, Western Cape Minister of Mobility, Daylin Mitchell, will tomorrow, Friday 3 June 2022, join Open Streets on a 7km social bicycle ride in Cape Town.
World Bicycle Day is celebrated annually on 3 June to promote the use of bicycles for transportation, recreation and environmental conservation.
Minister Mitchell will be joined by NGO’s, government officials and community members on the social ride.

The Western Cape Government is offering FREE ten-point vehicle checks by qualified examiners from Saturday, 23 March to Thursday, 28 March at venues in Cape Town and Drakenstein.
It is with great sadness that I extend my condolences to the loved ones of the ten people – seven adults and three children – who died in a road crash on the N7 between Vanrhynsdorp and Klawer on Sunday 17 March 2024.
