Western Cape Transport and Public Works Minister, Bonginkosi Madikizela, will revisit the Garden Route District starting from tomorrow, Wednesday 9 September 2020 to meet minibus taxi leaders following months of escalating tensions and violent conflict between rival taxi associations.
The Minister’s visit follows a series of meetings with stakeholders in the district last month where they raised challenges facing the industry.
During his visit, the Minister will unpack resolutions that have been adopted during engagements with the industry leadership in his effort to end taxi violence and killings across the province.
