I urge all motor vehicle drivers with licences that will expire on 31 August 2021 to use the remaining few days to renew their driving licences before the end of the month to avoid panic and long queues.
The deadline for extended 2020 licence renewals as gazetted on 03 December, is next week Tuesday, 31 August 2021.
The Gazette extended affected learners’ licences, driving licence cards, temporary driving licences and professional driving permits that expired from 26 March 2020 to 31 December 2020 and deemed them valid for a grace period ending 31 August 2021.
All the 61 driving licence testing centers in the Western Cape are open and ready to assist drivers to renew their licences.
