Reckless Driving - Lea Road, Ottery

Cape Town

Teenagers riding very noisy quad bike up and down Lea Road in Ottery. Drivers are teenagers and passengers are young boys. None are wearing helmets. It's very noisy and very fast. This happens most evenings. It's dangerous and disturbs the peace.

As I was crossing the pedestrian crossing (the pedestrian light was green) a meter taxi ran through the red light and did a U-turn at the intersection. If I had not stopped in my tracks I would have been knocked over for sure.

Slowing down in fast lane to cut over painted island to push into slow traffic. Dangerous with cars approaching from behind at high speed.

Tailgating driver at 120k. I am at the back of a line of cars - all doing 120. The next lane is full of cars, and this idiot forced herself into next lane to over-take... just to get one car ahead. She kept this up until I lost sight of her

The driver did not stop at the three-way stop at Century way and Century Link. The driver was heading South and I was turning right into Century Way (I approached the stop street first). He was also talking on his cell phone.

Taxi driving the wrong way down the road, stopped in the wrong lane on the right hand side facing oncoming traffic and blocked all traffic.

We were driving to Cape town just passed Malmesbury on N7. Next thing a massive truck overtook us and probably 7 other cars. The upcoming traffic pulled off and was forced to stop as they where off the tar road.

The driver very aggressively drove through a 4 way stop when it was my right of way. I then swerved to miss him and hit the car alongside me. The driver then laughed at me loudly and sped away on the opposite side of the road.
